Dreamwell and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) in Johnson County present “4.48 Psychosis”, by Sarach Kane and directed by Eric Marlin Nov. 8, 9, 15 & 16, at 7:30pm, 120 N. Dubuque St. (in the basement of the Wesley Center). Tickets start at $10 for students and can be reserved on our tickets page.

NAMI will be involved in talk-backs after each performance and provide informational handouts. As this production includes discussions of suicide, self-harm & trauma, one of their volunteers will be available during performances as needed.

Synopsis: A woman is in a battle with her own mind. She craves understanding. She seeks it from her doctor, her lover, and from the audience watching her. Through fragmentary, nonlinear scenes, 4.4.8 Psychosis excavates the horrors of depression, and presents a radically empathetic portrait of what it means to struggle with suicidal thoughts.
