World premiere of the fog comes on little cat feet, by Amanda Keating, UI Playwright: Overnight at the Veterinary Emergency and Larger Animal Vet Services of Hamden County. Cats, alpacas, and a chicken. Love, loss, and laughter.

Come audition for “the fog comes on little cat feet”!  Whether this will be your first or fiftieth audition, you’ll be welcome.  We’d like a diverse cast, and roles are open regardless of ethnic or gender identity or sexual orientation.  All that matters is your ability to bring a character to life and tell a story in the company of others.

Doors for the audition will open at 10:45 am on Saturday December 10, and at 6:15 pm on Monday December 12 for registration at the Iowa City Public Library with the auditions beginning fifteen minutes later.  We aren’t assigning time slots; this is an ensemble show and we want to see you interact with as many other actors as possible.  No need to memorize a monologue.  Sides will be made available by the director at the auditions.  If you’d like to audition but need to arrive late or make arrangements for another day, please contact the director, Michele Payne Hinz, at mackenzie1800@msn.com.  Something can be worked out.

The ages listed are the ages of the characters, not (necessarily) the actors. Actors should be at least 18 years old.

ANTICIPATED REHEARSALS

We’ll start with two table reads the week of January 9.  Starting the week of January 16 and up until tech week, we’ll schedule three-hour rehearsals on three week-nights and one weekend day.  The exact schedule can be shaped (to some degree) to fit the needs of the cast.
