LINK: UpdatesLINK: JournalLINK: StoriesLINK: FAQsLINK: SupportLINK: LinksLINK: Contact I had an attack last Tuesday (the 16th). I was in my office with Maureen and Jean getting ready to go to our staff meeting and suddenly I just got horribly dizzy and had to sit down. Then came the nausea and distorted hearing. The vertigo was by far the worst tho, and I didn't have any of my pills with me. So I had Maureen take me home. The hearing had mostly returned by the time we got to my house, and I took prednisone, meclizine, and valium as soon as I got home. Barry met us at home and stayed with me the rest of the day, while I pretty much slept. By noon I was fine, but exhausted. I've had a few instances of dizziness since, but nothing nearly that horrible.

But, the good news is that on Wednesday, I got my hearing aid. It is really taking some getting used to. I go in for another programming session tomorrow. I think things overall are pretty good, but just slightly too loud in general. I'm programmed to keep the aid at a volume level of "2", but I've been putting it down to "1" the majority of the time. Some sounds, like my keyboard as I type this, paper rustling, chair squeaking, are just WAY too loud. The second program that supposedly eliminates the background noise works well in my office, but nowhere else. In fact, in the car it almost makes it worse. There's more about how I'm dealing wit this in my journal.
