Haven't updated in a while...basically things remain the same. Hearing has been fluctuating. Some days I'll have mild attacks that will mostly just be vertigo, other days will be major attacks that will leave me with lessened hearing for seveal days. My last one of these was early December, and I've been back on 60mg of prednisone a day. Most days are actually pretty good, tho, and the hearing aid helps enough where I can maintain conversations in groups of 2-3 people. Get any more than that, or put a conference table between us and it becomes difficult. Phone is much more difficult than before as well. Music seems to be coming in less garbled these days tho. The treble still all sounds wrong tho.
I have an appointment with the Colorado Neurological Institute for a choclear implant evaluation. I know right now the answer is going to be "no, you still have too much hearing." But I figure it's worth getting the process started and getting the tests out of the way, because I know the hearing that I have left is not going to last forever. The appointment is on the 30th. I'll post again then.
