Dreamwell Theatre is excited to announce QueertopIA, an evening of short works coming up in June! We are looking for local LGBTQ+ voices to fill the stage. Join us in celebrating and commemorating Pride, and help us create a night to remember! We’re honoring “Queertopia”, a longstanding tradition of an all inclusive, no holds barred “cabaret of queer love” started in Minneapolis by Jeffry Lusiak and carried on by Nastalie Q. Queertopia has been going strong in the Twin Cities for over a decade. We are excited to begin our own tradition here in Iowa City!

Message Madonna at president@dreamwell.com to share your idea for your short plays, songs, spoken word, stand up, dance, puppet shows, or favorite form of expression with us. The theme, and subject matter of work submitted is not limited to any criteria. Ideally, pieces should run about 5-10 minutes. Please include details about your idea, your cast, your director, and any other information that is helpful for staging. If you know you will need help from Dreamwell, let us know that too. We are accepting ideas until May 1, 2019. Thank you!
